IBM ServeRAID M5110 1GB Flash RAID Controller Kit 00AE807 / 46C9029 is a reliable enterprise server storage controller designed for IBM System x server environments. The ServeRAID M5110 provides high-performance SAS/SATA storage management through a PCI Express 3.0 x8 interface and supports internal 6Gbps SAS/SATA connectivity.

This RAID controller is designed to help manage server storage by providing hardware-based RAID functionality for compatible SAS and SATA hard drives and SSDs. The M5110 supports standard RAID levels including RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10, with additional RAID capabilities available through appropriate feature upgrades.

The 1GB Flash upgrade provides flash-backed cache protection for cached data. IBM documentation notes that the 1GB Flash/RAID upgrade is part of the M5100 Series and works with the ServeRAID M5110 controller.
